This should eliminate the double-spacing that some people were evoking through certain mail clients, and it may do a better job of stripping advertising footers from certain mail services. It will continue to strip mime attachments and dispose of them--files should not be sent to the masq list. If you encounter any problems with the filter, let me know in private email. 2) PLEASE watch the amount of previous messages you quote when you reply to or followup to a message. A few of you continue to include the entire message tacked on the end of the message; this is unnecessary and wastes the list's time and diskspace. It also makes the digests less usable. In the future, if quoting isn't kept under control, I will start filtering posts from chronic quotemonsters. One person has already been granted this treatment, and while it hasn't seemed to help reduce the person's quoting, it has cut back on list traffic a bit. 3) The transition to the new list server seems to have worked. Those of you using the web interface will probably see the most improvement, but general operations are faster, and admin tasks are easier for me. Thanks for your patience during the transition.
