My _sincerest_ apologies; my tongue wasn't far enough in my cheek
on that one. I was completely joking. I wouldn't wish that kind of
solution on my worst enemy. For _any_ linux problem.
I agree with you that some way to cat individual lines with new
entries, matching the existing ip's and ports, but replacing the other
fields, would make a lot of sense.
Easy for me to say; I don't know how to write it.
