/* HINT: Search archives @ http://www.indyramp.com/masq/ before posting! */ Hi, I've been trying to find a solution to setting up my Linux masq machine to allow video conferencing for Windows clients connected to the Internet through the Linux masq machine. I've researched USENET without success and I tried to contact the author of an article posted here regarding VDOPhone but he has not responded. Please pardon my intrusion and at the risk of being redundant, I am hoping someone here can revisit the topic and help me out. Has anyone had any success configuring a Linux IP Masquerade/port forwarding box to allow the NAT'ed Windows machines behind the masq box to use Intel's Video Phone or VDOPhone video conferencing applications? My setup is pretty standard stuff: My masq box uses a 2.0.36 kernel running ip masquerade with a static IP and DSL connection to the Internet. The PC's (Windows) on my internal office network use NAT and private IP addresses (192.168.x.x) and connect to the Internet through the masq machine. Irc, icq, real audio, ftp, telnet, http, etc., is working fine. So far, I've been able to configure my masq Linux box to get CUSEEME on the Windows machines running successfully using port forwarding, but I have not had any success getting Intel's Video Phone or VDOPhone working. With regard to Intel's Video Phone, a guy at Intel said that the app uses rotating port numbers, so this app is unusable from behind a Linux masq box. Could there be a workaround solution using ipportfw or an ip-masq module? With regard to the VDOPhone app, I followed the instructions from the Masq Applications website (http://www.tsmservices.com/masq/) as to how to configure the ip_masq_vdolive module with partial success. People can see and hear me but I can't see and hear them. Any ideas? As always, any help or insight you could suggest would be greatly appreciated.
