Howdy folks, I recently reinstalled rh5.1 on my firewall box, installed
all the necessary updates (to 2.0.35 plus all the kernel and initiscripts
stuff) at the begining of the month from the redhat mirror on the DEC
site. I had to force some of the rpm's as I got errors that some files in
the new rpm packages were conflicting with files that were already
installed. Recompiled the kernel, setup networking and was trying to fix a
problem with pasv ftp (via a webbrowser) over ipmasq (detailed in a
previous posting) and was trying to load the ipmasq ftp module and was
running the following commands
/sbin/depmod -a
error that "can't open /lib/modules/2.0.35/modules.dep"
but.... the actual directory is /lib/modules/2.0.35-2
so..... how do I go about fixing this one? Would creating a symlink be a
good idea? Or what?
