I am not sure if I fully understand whats going on but I will try and explain. I have 1 Linux machine that I will call gw. This machine is my connection to the Internet via my work. I receives a dynamically allocated address each connection. This machine is now running IP Masquerading. I also have a (AAAHHH)Windoze95 games machine that I have set up so I can talk to the Internet via gw. This works fine so the IP masquerading is working on gw. Now to my problem. I need to connect to the network that is behind my works firewall. The dialins are on the outside of the firewall. One of the security issues is that it checks the IP address and if its within the pool of IPs it knows about I'm allowed to next stage. The problem is it seems that on gw it is using the IP of the machine NOT the dynamic (or masquerade) address allocated to it. Basically what it comes down to is that I can telent to a machine behind the firewall from the win95 machine (thought masquerading) but not from my Linux machine. Any ideas. -- Daryl Sayers Corinthian Engineering Ph: (02) 9906 4333 Suite 19, 401 Pacific Hwy Fax: (02) 9906 1556 Artarmon, NSW, 2064 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Australia www: http://www.cordoors.com.au --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For daily digest info, email [EMAIL PROTECTED]
