Midentd does work with masqueraded connections to IRC; I presume it would
work in this case also. It is available from:
ftp://ftp.mantis.co.za/pub/Linux/midentd-0.1.1.tar.gz
The site seems very flaky - I have a copy of it here as a last resort :)
