I have a small LAN at home that uses a masqueraded RedHat5.0/2.0.33 system
as the gateway. Have had no problems until recently with FTP/NcFTP.
Now, when outside of the home's miniLAN, FTP and NcFTP give the following
error messages on machines OTHER THAN THE GATEWAY.
Error: Could not accept a data connection.
Reason: Connection reset by peer
Note that I can give the "cd" command. But the "ls" or "dir" commands
generate the error message.
If I make the request from the gateway all works as expected.
AND if I use NETSCAPE from anywhere on the minilan, that works fine also,
including ftp requests.
Any ideas where to start to look for a misconfiguration or corruption in
the ipmasquerading?
thanks
