Hi everyone 

I have just upgraded to RH5 .. from 4.2 (installed a new HD so i thought it
would be fun trying RH5 hehehe) .. anyway ... 

I had IPMASQ running fine on 4.2 ... and i have it running on RH5... but
have a problem with running traceroute from inside my linux box !!! 

my setup 


 ISP --- Linux-box ---- multiple win95 machines


 now i can tracert from in win95 fine :) ... but when i try to run
traceroute from my linux machine .. i get :

what is causing this ? and does it somehow have an adverse affect on my ppp
connection ? 


my route is as follows :

... question ... without the -n argument, shouldnt names appear for the
networks  ? does RH5 use the /etc/networks file at all ? cause at the start
it didnt have one so i added my own .. 

also lynx -dump command doesnt work properly .. is this because of the
abovementioned problem ? i have a dyn.ml.org address .. and using a script
to update the info with lynx -dump .. it used to work on 4.2 .. 

When i go to the login page for members.ml.org, i click on login.. but it
doesnt give me a prompt to enter in the user and pass, and just gives me a
unath access message  !!!! help heheh :) anyone else found this ?
