Hmmm, I did this, and now the names are the same.
When I rebooted w/ my new kernel, it still showed
all of the unresolved symbol messages, however the
modules are working!?!

In xconfig, I set the "versions in kernel" thing to 
off, as it suggested.

On the diald front, I now have a functioning dial on
demand system operating!  I really appreciate your
help on all of this stuff.  I knew that it could be
done, but when a lot of the info you find on the 
ip-masq site isn't applicable, it's hard to know
what is valid and what isn't.
