Well, I do appreciate the offer, but I already have Linux installed,
and while the process of using the text interface to setup IP
masquerading *does* seem tedious, it is not something that
I am incapable of doing. I'm also planning on doing a little more
with the Linux box than IP masquerading, hopefully I'll be able to
get an FTP server and a MUD up and running sometime this
week.
If anyone has any information as to how to use the GUI in Red Hat
to setup IP masquerading I'd be very interested. Thanks.

Joe,
If you don't want to spend the hours and hours setting this up, a
fully-supported commercial linux ip-masq solution is available from
http://www.softwaresuperstore.com/products/ShareTheNet
Installation is (relatively) simple, and it works from a single floppy
diskette, so you can dust off that old '486 and use it if you want.
I'm the author, so my opinion is slightly biased.
HTH,
John Lombardo
