I have done this before and it has worked perfectly (after some trial and
error).  Not one problem after it was configured, so I know it is completely
feasable.  If DHCP is _NOT_ assigning IP addresses this has _NOTHING_ to do
with ipmasq.  Make sure you get the latest DHCP server and read every page
of the documentation.  There are some things in that doc you will have to
pay attention to, like setting up a route for broadcast messages on the
internal adapter, etc.
