The problem with RH5.1 is the initscripts that are sent with it are faulty
and don't compile the modules and their dependencies properly.  The fix in
the errata fixes this problem.  I know because I had the same problem and
everything is perfect now.  Notice that upon boot if it cannot find module
dependencies, this is the reason.
