Any tool out there to automatically create emails based on firewall logs?
Currently I grep out all the 'deny's in my logfiles. Last week I decided
to email some of the sysadmins in charge of the machines which tried to
hack into mine, based on the log files. I was pleased to see that a few of
the sysadmins actually were going to do something about the attacks, in
one case the sysadmin was waiting for another piece of info in order to
take action against one of their clients, who supposedly also tried to
attack my machine.
Since it took a lot of time to format the emails, etc. I would like to
know if there is a tool out there that I could use to format emails based
on the the ipfwadm log files. If nothing is out there then I will create
one myself.
