Maybe a good compromise would be - release the calls after 1 month -
redact personal info if there are medical issues or if someone is a
witness to a felony - allow an exception for a ongoing felong
investigation that might be jeopardized by the release of the tape -
make transcripts available before actual audio recordings

Like I opined before - there needs to be strong public oversight of
911 Centers - Montgomery County Maryland is taking 3 minutes to
dispatch calls - Dane County Wisconsin 911 and Fulton County Georgia
911 have recently been in the news - 911 is the final safety net - if
911 is failing, watch out
