This is a design guide for using fiber optic to carry radio signals inside buildings Basically - the system is simple - you take a radio frequency (RF) signal and convert it to a fiber optic signal by using a laser - the fiber optic cable carrys the converted signal - at the other end, you convert the laser generated optical signal back to a RF signal These systems can be used to dustribute RF throughout buildings, ships, subways - etc. Apparently this company provided the system for FDNY use in the subways. (Is that system in service yet?) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
