Thanks for the comments. I will keep an ear on Lexington Fire and see
how they do. I heard them in the "Dorchester House" today - one
portable faded in and out a bit. "Command" had a high pitched hum on
his signal at one point. I am starting to think that sometimes
interference from computers and electronic devices is getting into the
transmitters of portable radios operating inside buildings. Someone
will have a whine in 1 message, but the next message will be perfectly
clear - as if they moved away from a computer. Peter Sz
