Boston FD went to 8 Avery St last night for a electrical problem on Level B1. Companies seemed to switch to direct. I could hear the IC loud and clear out here in Arlington. The dispatcher seemed to be walking over the direct comms - but no one ever mentioned that direct comms were in progress. On the other hand, maybe they were using a inhouse repeater in addition to the normal repeater. However, there was no mention of using a inhouse repeater.
Companies seem to be missing vital info from the initial dispatches. Both at the 100 Huntington St call and the 8 Avery St call.
