New computer systems on fire trucks and ambulances can alert drivers when they are driving unsafely - this includes antirollover protection systems These systems might make drivers complacent - if I am driving down the road at 60MPH and suddenly jerk the steering wheel to the right as hard as I can, I am gonna roll the vehicle - right? Any warning will be too late. Unless the warning is tied to a driver override system. There was a pilot discussing this sort of thing on NPR the other day. Boeing wants less automation on the pilots controls. Airbus wants more automation. It is an interesting battle that is still being played out. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
