How does Situational Awareness intersect Radio Systems? 1. Radio can transport a voice from one place to another - but the situation in the 2 places might be very different 2. It takes a special effort to transmit "situational awareness" from one location to another location via radio. Just because someone is talking on a radio does NOT mean that any 'awareness' is flowing from location A to location B. In fact, the effort and attention that is required to receive 'awareness' via a radio can cause an immediate drop in the 'awareness' of the receiver. (ie - while listening to the radio, you get hit by a bus) 3. The mega concept here is - good information needs to flow - the good information needs to flow to the people who need it - the information may need to flow TO everyone on the radio channel - or it may need to flow TO just one other person on the channel - the info may need to come FROM 1 party or FROM multiple parties I believe this is called a "multi variable" or "multi variate" problem in the mathematics world --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
