Quincy - back to 2 and 1 Watertown - only 1 and 0 Woburn - just 1 and 0 --------------------------------------------- I was thinking - in other parts of the USA, all of these FDs that are '1 and 0' or '1 and 1' would be part of the "County FD". California, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, Maryland - they all have rather large County FDs. The County FDs from California and Georgia and South Carolina seemed to grow up from the FDs that served the unincorporated areas (and later added in some incorporated areas). The County FDs of Virginia and Maryland seem to have evolved from the addition of paid men to the various VFDs in the various counties.
