I remember that Worcester changed their policy at 1 point - they decided that FD would not roll on any EMS calls within 1 mile of the UMass Hospital because there was always an ambulance there Seems to me that a prudent EMS policy for Lawrence could be - for ALS medical calls - nearest police car & nearest BLS ambulance & nearest ALS unit & (nearest fire truck if closer than BLS or ALS) - of course you would need a good AVL system (automatic vehicle location) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
