cost $15 billion over the last 20 years - In May 2008 the Army formed
the first THAAD battery at Fort Bliss Texas - their 99 soldiers will
eventually be equipped with 24 missles (interceptors) - the Lockheed
Martin factory in Troy Alabama will ship the first THAAD missles to
the Army (at Fort Bliss) in the next 2 months - (these THAAD
interceptor missles are designed to knock down both ICBMs and cruise
missles IIRC)
