MetroFire Radio System - ????

Based on what Al posted earlier, I think I understand how the new
MetroFire channels are structured.

3 zones - north + central + south

Each zone has a fireground channel (mobiles and portables only), and a
repeater channel

In addition - there are several MetroWide channels

483.3125 R - MetroFire Red - multi receiver sites - very good portable
radio coverage - possibly 3 steered transmit sites

483.2875 R - MetroFire White or Dispatch or Ops or whatever -
dispatcher to dispatcher channel - possibly just 1 repeater on a
highrise in downtown Boston

483.2625 M - MetroFire Blue - hazmat channel - mobiles only - also
used extensively by Somerville FD as Channel 2

MetroFire Silver - ??? - MO3s and HTs ?

MetroFire Orange - ??? - MO3s and HTs ?

There might be a few more special channels also

Million dollar question - How many remote receiver sites are connected
to the Zone repeaters? Does anyone have priority access to the Zone
repeaters as a control operator? Does anyone ever hear any traffic on
the Zone repeaters?
