Based on this radio traffic, I guess we can infer that there is no NEXTEL backup network, no backup wireless network, no back up Civil Defense network, no backup satellite phone network, no backup smoke signals system, no backup air horn system, maybe not even any backup telegraph system, no backup shortwave system, no nadda nuttin zilch Of course, I think that Revere, Chelsea, and MassPort all have combined police/fire 911 centers - so they could contact Winthrop Police via BAPERN or computer or whatever on the police side.
