0617 AM - 154.16 - ALS 4 on and responding to Rte 128 North at the Pike exit - Weston Eng 3 + Weston Rescue 1 + Weston Car 2 are already responding 0620 AM approx - 154.16 - per Weston Car 2, go to Rte 16 and loop around - the crash is on 'old Rte 128' 0623 AM - 154.16 - Weston Car 2 at scene - one car off the road in Newton - dispatcher asks if Newton should be notified - Weston Car 2 says yes 0625 AM approx - 154.16 - need 2nd ALS unit from Newton 0626 AM - 154.16 - pager tone - coverage complete - (apparently a sufficient number of off duty firefighters have notified the dispatcher that they are enroute to the station) 0627 AM - 483.4625 - Newton Eng 2 + Newton Ldr 1 + Newton C2 + Newton Medic 2 dispatched to 128 North by Exit 23 24 25 for a rollover with "unknown PI" - "0625" is the time given - no closest box given 0631 AM approx - 483.4625 - Newton dispatcher tells Newton C2 that "we have info that Weston FD is at scene - should we discontinue everyone except Medic 2?" - "no, continue the companies" per Newton C2 0631 AM approx - 483.4625 - Newton dispatcher to Eng 2 - "Are you responding? - we did not get your (acknowledgement) light" - yes Eng 2 and Ldr 1 are responding 0632 AM approx - 483.4625 - at scene, we will be of (some) assistance 0633 AM - 154.16 - ALS 4 at scene 0634 AM approx - 483.4625 - "Newton Medic 2 to Newton Ladder 2" - "Ladder ONE answering" - we need driver for one patient, we have 2 ALS patients, we will be splitting up (the Medic 2 crew)" 0635 AM - 483.4625 - Car 2 to Ladder 1 Alpha, are all patients out? - yes Weston Car 2 is a Lieutenant - he can go to Wellesley HQ to cover with Weston Eng 1 since Wellesley has a working fire at box 2145 for 32 Bernard (?sp) St 0646 AM - 154.16 - Weston Car 2 and Weston Eng 3 are waiting for tow truck to remove vehicle - Newton Medic 2 is transporting to an unknown destination 0650 AM - 483.4625 - Newton Eng 1 entering Wellesley and will switch to Wellesley channel ============================== Apparently - Newton Medic 2 responded as Newton Medic 2 and as Weston ALS 4 - no that cant be right since Newton Medic 2 is a Cataldo unit and Weston ALS 4 is a AMR unit - was there actually 3 patients with 2 going in the Cataldo ambulance - or maybe Weston ALS 4 was a non transport unit - maybe Weston R1 took 1 patient and Newton Medic 2 took 1 or 2 patients - but why did Newton Medic 2 split their crew? - maybe Weston ALS 4 never actually made it to the scene In any case - approx 8 minutes for Weston Car 2 to reach scene - approx 10 minutes for Weston Eng 3 and Rescue 1 to reach scene - approx 18 minutes for Weston ALS 4 to reach scene - approx 12 minutes for Newton FD to be dispatched - approx 15 minutes for Newton FD to arrive -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
