Regarding my post about the latest blizzard, I was advised that -

Actually, GLOBAL scale warming would exacerbate SYNOPTIC scale
perturbations (e.g. greater kinking of jet streams) resulting in
wilder extreme temperatures at MESO-scale.

Higher average temperature can also make a too-cold-to-snow storm warm
enough to blow AND snow.  And provide more evaporation from Gulf or
Atlantic to feed deeper snow fall.
