I think their staffing arrangement is even more complicated than I have thought. I guess this is the staffing algorithm that they use - If 1 deputy is on duty - operate C2 If no Deputys on duty - staff C2 with a Captain If another Captain on duty - assign as officer on Eng 7 if another Captain on duty - assign as officer on Ladder 1 If no captain on E7 - assign a Lieutenant And on and on Bottom line - Car 2 is always staffed by either a Captain or a Deputy - Engine 7 is always staffed by 1 officer and 3 firefighters - Engine 3 can go down to 2 FF (maybe) - Ladder 1 can go down to 2 FF (maybe) - I think that E4 can go out of service after E3 - but E7 + L1 + E5 are always staffed Some smart computer jockey might write a program for this someday - maybe not -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
