13 June 2012 - Wednesday - 1418 PM - pager alert signal transmitted by
Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency - I received it via 153.965
R (part of a statewide network of linked VHF highband repeaters)

The announcement went something like this -

MEMA to Seabrook Planning Zone communities - prepare to copy a actual
event message on Form 114 - this is not an exercise - 1 minute later -
Amesbury are you ready to copy? - Amesbury is ready, Dispatcher Smith
- Merrimac are you ready to copy? - etc - approx 6 or 7 communities
replied - unusual event declared at Seabrook Station at 1343 PM -
emergency initiating condition is HU3 - I think that each community
then acknowledged the message - MEMA said "no further info" and signed
off with his name

---------------------

Now that I look back at this, I see that 35 minutes elapsed between
issuance of the alert and dissemination via 153.965R
