A little FD news today from the mighty scanner receiver 730 AM - Beverly FD - Engine 1 out of service due to lack of manpower
8 AM approx - Beverly FD - Marine 1 was on the air for department business - sounded like a boat - makes sense 8 AM approx - Beverly FD - "Truck 2" was heard on the air - I suspect it is actually a Quint staffed with 3 people Beverly PD channel = Rescue 1 was mentioned - it is an ambulance apparently - maybe is the callsign for the contract ambulance from NorthEast Ambulance Service Beverly FD signs on the air at 715 AM Gloucester FD - 8 AM - "Magnolia Station is closed" (today) Gloucester FD - both Rescue 1 and Rescue 2 are ambulances which transport patients to hospitals Gloucester FD had multi calls - an announcement was made that 2 people were needed for station coverage - (I have never heard them do that before - it was around 8 AM) Essex PD + FD channel - sequentially - "Control to Rescue" - EMS call announced - (I am not sure if the call was actually announced first on the fire channel and then on the police channel - or if Wicked Local playback does this) Ashland sent Engine 7 + A2 + L2 to an EMS call - respond "Priority 2" - I think I heard a siren -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
