You might have heard Arlington Police doing some radio checks recently on BAPERN 3 and BAPERN 4. Apparently they are doing major renovations at the 911 Center. Recently there has been some loud drilling noise in the background on the Arlington PD and FD channels.
IIRC they did $500,000 in renovations to the 911 center just 2 or 3 years ago. I have no idea what they are up to now. I have not seen any appropriations specifically for work in the 911 center. However they might be spending $1M to fix the shell of the police station.
