Massachusetts EMS Region IV Communications Policy Call Sign
All ambulances within Region IV shall have a designated call sign that will be utilized regardless of where in the Commonwealth they are located. Call Signs shall consist of the following; Service name Current level of ambulance Unit number Example: The contracted ambulance in community X is a paramedic ambulance from Delta Ambulance Company. The unit number is 66. The call sign for this ambulance is: DELTA PARAMEDIC 66 Ambulances calling any CMED utilize the same call sign.
