Boston Massachusetts WBUR FM at 213 PM - host was interviewing the State Secretary of Transportation Robert Davy (sp?)
................... Question - Were the problems due to old age of the system - like the massive problem at the T Quincy communications tower that required an emergency generator? Answer by Robert Davy - blah blah Mother Nature - blah blah old system - I would NOT blame the old (infrastructure) system - I live near Copley T - we had to shovel the drifts out of the station .............................. Did you notice that he totally ignored the question about the comm system? Why? Because he could not blame that on "old infrastructure" or "Mother Nature" or "the public" or "the T employees" or "lack of funds" - he had no one to blame for that failure except himself and the management - therefore he ignored the question Think about it - How could you blame Mother Nature for the failure of an emergency generator? Isnt that why we have emergency generators? The host did not follow up at all. ================= Now Mayor Menino and Governor Patrick are saying that we need underground power lines. Maybe we need some forecasters that can forecast. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
