Is this article accurate at all? ----------------------------------------------------------------- I think they work 24 on 24 off - that would be 180 shifts per year - if they are just losing 4 shifts per year, how can that possibly be equivalent to taking 1 truck out of 3 out of service? If they have 45 FF - which is 22 on duty - do they staff each pumper with 10 guys? (AFAIK they only have 2 pumpers, 1 rescue, 1 small crash truck, 1 tanker, and 1 hazmat truck) Even if they have 3 platoons - that would be 120 shifts per year - and you lose 4 of them If they have 45 FF now - and lose 20% of them - they would still have 35 FF - if they work 24 on 24 off, then they would have 17 guys in the station at all times -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
