Heard on 453.65 (the station alerting channel) paging tones - then - "Engine 21, attention Ladder 18, box 16-blah blah blah ...."
Why is the word "attention" used? the dispatcher did not say "Attention E21 and Attention L18" do you know what I am getting at? do you understand the procedure? do you know why it is used?
