The average fire man will probably read this article (or scan the headline) and think - "no need to rescue Chinese people" Lets look closely at the numbers in the article - 100,000 new Chinese in NYC in the last 10 years At most, 7,000 asylum cases per year - only 15% are approved - that is 800 approved per year - that is 8,000 over 10 years - more likely it is 4,000 approved over 10 years Therefore - the fake rate seems to be 4% (or much less) 96% are real honest to gawd new citizens Way to go New York Times - good friggin job - Semple, Goldstein, and Singer -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
