The RangeCast dot com 'Security Dept feed' has 3 hours of Taunton FD traffic at this time. (Apparently a 3 hour archive is standard for the Wicked Local feeds now).
Heard from Taunton FD 90 Stevens St is a DYS Bld (Dept Youth Services) E3 is based at Weir Fire Station E5 is based at Oakland Fire Station Car 2 is based at Central Station E9 might be based at East Taunton Station E5 was sent alone to a smoke detector activation in the basement of a home called in by a central station. When a 2nd call was received from the central station for a 1rst floor smoke detector, a "box" was struck. E1 E3 SN Rescue, and Car 2 filled out the assignment. It turned out to be a plugged wood stove vent. Rescue continued to the scene with a fan to assist E5. "Unit 5" was apparently the E5 officer on his portable radio in the home. He was a little scratchy. Note - when 3 to 5 beeps are transmitted by the dispatcher, the word "Alert" appears on the RangeCast display (in addition to the regular text). The regular text includes the agency, channel name, and frequency.
