more than you ever wanted to know about MO3 / portable extenders / mobile extenders / vehicle mounted repeaters / in car repeaters 3 pages of info about the repeaters that California Highway Patrol (CHP) has / had in their patrol cars from 1982 to the present A recent post to Radio Ref reports the VHF highband extenders are still in use by CHP on 154 Mhz in the Newhall area near Los Angeles. For the most part, reports seem to indicate that most CHP officers now have portable radios that transmit at 700 and 800 mhz. These new portable radios are probably linked to new in car repeaters that are linked to the in car mobile radio (that primarily transmits at 42 Mhz). The new MO3 very well might use the same general concepts that the old MO3 used. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
