Boston Mass area 1. Digital talkgroups (TG) are only heard on 700 Mhz, Logan, Cambridge, and western Mass TRS - right? (except that there might be a couple of P25 TGs for radio techs on the analog TRS)
2. Anyone have a good handle on how the LPS TGs are used? dispatch to dispatch vs dispatch to field unit ? - general use vs special event use? 3. Event TG 8 is 33008 - if I divide 33008 by 16 I get 2063 - 2063 is apparently the "digital talk group" that can be monitored on the digital TRS - using an online hex convertor, 33008 becomes "80F" and 2063 becomes "80F0" - for Event 7 we get 32976 2061 80D 80D0 - for Event 6 we get 32944 2059 80B 80B0 - there is a definite pattern there but I dont know what it is - ?????? 4. MSP SOPs TGs are used for undercover work as well as special events and escorts. Boston Harbor escorts for the large LNG ships encompass USCG, Boston Police, and other assets. I assume that the MSP SOP TGs are assigned by G HQ as needed when needed. I guess that the request for the TG is sent via teletype or Email or some other means since I never hear the requests via radio. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
