check out the comments - city officials were warned by neighbors about
bad hydrants

I heard the Beverly Chief on the radio saying that he had no water -
something about the hydrant at the top of the hill was bad - the
dispatcher was listing off 2 other nearby hydrants at 2206 -

heck - lets check the tape !

2202 - C1 has no water - Peabody L1 at scene

22013 - Danvers E3 hydrant send the water - need PD to corner of Lee
to protect hose from hydrant

2201 - Truck 1 has minimal water - hydrant at top of hill is weak

2204 - dispatcher reports that there is a hydrant at ?Winthrop at
?Lowell - also kenwood at bridge - also ?Parkwood and Winthrop - (all
street names are probably wrong - I cant read my notes)

2204 - C1 will send Manchester e3 to one of those hydrants - (but E3
is blocked maybe)

2207 - bld collapsed

(this transcript is pretty shoddy - cant read my notes - they were
talking kinda fast - etc - checks in the mail - locusts!)
