IIRC the new Boston mayor is a recovered alcohic. I am sure that no
one will have to educate him about the importance of rehab programs
for alcoholics.

Here is a little Boston history.

Scolley Square - 1940s - many bars - area torn down in 1960s to make
Government Center IIRC

Combat Zone - many bars and porn shops - 1970s - Kneeland St area -
same area as Pine St Inn

2014 - many new highrises in Kneeland St area - fewer bars - porn
shops went to peabody I guess

Pine Street Inn was originially at Boyslton at Wash? - then on Bristol
St in South End? - then at Long Island Shelter? - Pine St Inn has
always housed the homeless / substance abusers
