Drilling down a little deeper into the FCC ULS than I usually do - we have found the following info -
For the Boston FD UHF channels (483.1625 483.1875 etc) KGA645 - at 59 The Fenway - first used - 7/6/1984 KGA646 - 1990 Columbus Ave - first used 9/19/1990 KGA647 - 35 Northampton St - first used 9/19/1990 KGA659 - 800 Boylston St - first used 10/15/1990 KGA660 - 5115 Washington St - first used 7/6/1984 WIK679 - 1 Lincoln St - first used 9/19/1990 WQBE942 - Big Dig Tunnels - first used 9/29/2004 WQBG815 - Big Dig Tunnels - first used 10/4/2004 I am not sure what this means exactly. I would bet that 800 Boylston was used before 1990. But maybe the original license expired, or maybe the antenna was moved to a new location on the roof - ????? "First used" might mean "the first time that anyone used this particular antenna at this site" - so the dates could indicate when BPD or BEMS put an antenna on the bld. If I had to guess - I would guess that the BFD UHF channels were first used in 1984, and then some sites were added in 1990. And the Big Dig came online in 2004. There are no other active licenses on 483.1625 in Massachusetts at this time (per FCC ULS). (There might be 1 or 2 expired licenses on 483.1625 for Boston - I didnt check them).
