Does Massachusetts have any radio networks that link the various control points?

Every county seems to have a countywide fire radio network; and a
countywide police radio network. Some areas have regional EMS networks
- ie - CMED calling channels - BAMA - 462.9875R Essex County - 155.28
maybe - 155.34 maybe - 155.115R Boston area hospital.

Every county has a control point ---- definitely on the fire side -
sorta kinda on the police and EMS side.

151.145 R is sorta available as a EMS Task Force channel. Maybe for
fire task forces also.

BAPERN 3 and 4 sorta link several counties near Boston.

Some county fire control points have radios on adjoining county
channels - Barnstable - Plymouth - Bristol - maybe Norfolk - maybe
Metro and Essex.

If MetroFire wanted to talk to Berkshire County Fire Control, is that
possible via radio? (I suspect they talk via NAWAS phone now).

There are some LPS talkgroups on 800 - but they are regional in nature.

Maybe it would be good to have a couple of talkgroups with statewide
coverage so the various control points could talk to each other. (MEMA
nets might be good for this - but I never hear them used this way.
MEMA nets seem more like DPW mutual aid channels)

You could have 4 talkgroups - 1 for all fire control points - 1 for
all police control points - 1 for all CMEDs or whatever - 1 for all
DPWs. Maybe 1 for all public health. (are they still heard on
BAPERN?). MEMA could be the uber control point.

Or maybe 151.145R could be beefed up to handle the fire control points.

Maybe BAP 3 and 4 should be expanded statewide. (they might just need
10 more repeaters to accomplish that - plus an act of gawd from the
FCC probably)

A statewide talkgroup or 2 for the medevac helos sure seems like a
good idea also. Lots of other states seem to have them.

So much to do - so little time to accomplish them.
