get a job or go to school - max of 7 years in public housing

IIRC there are 45,000 units of public housing in Mass - 30,000 are for
poor elderly and poor disabled - 99% are single bedroom units - 15,000
units are for poor familys (usually 2 bedroom apts)

I am not sure how many leased (?Section 8?) units there are - (Section
8 uses private housing units - with the tenant paying 30% of their
income towards rent, and the govt making up the rest)
