fireground comms - comms in general --------------------------------------------- I wonder if all fire ground comms (or 90% of them) can be standardized "Condition 1" = Engine 1 at scene smoke showing - running an attack line - Engine 1 is command SOP is for next pumper to lay feeder from hydrant to Engine 1 - no radio traffic needed SOP is for Ladder to throw stick - send 1 man to roof - use other people for interior search or ground ladders - no radio traffic needed Perhaps - in a very rare circumstance - Engine 1 would say - jumper on side 2 - need ladder to side 2 ASAP - or power lines are dangerous on side 3 - etc Next message should be standardized - "Condition 2" = Engine 1 Driver charge Engine 1 line Next message should be standardized - "Condition 3" = Engine 2 Hydrant man turn on the hydrant (or some such words) The only other traffic would be - need 10 more ambs - etc - need 10 more cops etc - 3rd due engine approach via Main to South Main and then go easterly on West Main to Under Main St -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
