Scanner traffic today so far 840 AM - Arlington PD has only 4 cars on the road - 3 of them dont have working CAD - 1 doesnt have a gun (assault rifle I presume)
9 AM - 453.75 R - Midstate radio test by Fitchburg on "MidState" channel - partial list of agencies called - Nashoba Valley - Paxton - Princeton - Rutland Regional - Shirley - Sterling - Templeton Control - Townsend - West Boylston - Westminster - Winchendon - Worcester CMED 910 AM ish - 154.3625 R - Haverhill Eng 1 + P84 sent to man stabbed in stomach with pencil during argument - PD at scene already 926 AM - BFD Ch 1 - Engine 52 on the air for hydrants 934 AM - BFD Ch 1 - Ladder 26 at St Botolph and Mass Ave - person down- at 935 AM told the dispatcher to tell BPD that it was a hit and run on a pedestrian 10 AM - 483.2875 R - MetroFire rollcall - Braintree, Chelsea, Stoneham, and Weymouth did not answer - Dedham was 0 and 0 155.16 - paging of ALS calls in Lowell - some Trinity ambulances were heard talking, but usually it was just the dispatcher that was heard - I guess that the Trinity BLS ambulances are patched from some channel to 155.16 when they are responding with a Greater Lowell ALS unit 158.91 - "all channels message" from Boston PD heard 156.15 R - Maine State Police heard - someone had a suspended license from Connecticut - the Maine dispatcher did not know the reason for the suspension, and, when the Maine dispatcher made a call to Connecticut, Connecticut (?State Police?) could not determine a reason for the license suspension either Armstrong Ambulance Service - radio message - "it was called in private" = incident was not reported via 911 = incident was reported by someone dialing a 10 digit telephone number to reach an Armstrong Ambulance Service dispatcher directly 1030 AM - 483.6375 R - Winthrop FD went to a kitchen fire - turned out to be an overheated refrigerator - hydrant locations were given by the dispatcher - Winthrop FD seem to have 2 different repeaters (or 2 different power settings or 2 different antennas on 1 repeater) - the first radio messages I could barely hear, and Eng 1 could barely reach the repeater (sounded like E1 was on a HT in the cab of the truck) - the 2nd repeater was much much clearer to me, but still some of the portable radios had a tough time reaching the 2nd repeater - I wonder if they do this because they share the channel with Salem FD, or maybe they use 2 repeaters in lieu of a voting system - whatever they are doing, it aint working very well for them -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
