Just for the record I know at least 2 guys in my building who have become US citizens since moving into my building. Neither speaks English as their primary language. They are both senior citizens born and raised in a foreign country. Both moved to the USA late in their lives AFAIK.
It costs $700 IIRC to take the citizenship test. I think they get 3 chances to pass. There are 100 standard questions about US history and the US legal system.
