I think that Tac 15 was being relayed back onto Ch 1 And I think that Tac 16 was being relayed back onto / into Ch 2
Or more accurately - Tac 15 was paired with Ch 1 - and Tac 16 was paired with Ch 2 - and whatever that entails, the portable comms then started coming thru the scanner feed loud and clear from the 2 scenes Chronologically it went down like this - Inspector 4 called in a "car into bld" - units responded on Ch 1 Unit 2 called in a gas leak - his portable sounded like crap - units responding to help Unit 2 were told to use Ch 2 since Ch 1 already had an incident in progress Later - the dispatchers told companies at 1 scene to switch their portables to Tac 15 and for L3 to turn on their repeater - and companies at other scene were told to switch their portables to Tac 16 - and maybe Unit 2 was told to turn on his repeater but it was already on, so Ladder 3 was told "disregard your repeater, shift your radio off of repeater" - or very similar words Not to make a novel out of this - but maybe Tac 15 and Tac 16 are some unknown channels that are received by MO3s and then the MO3s transmit the messages into the Ch 1 or Ch 2 repeaters - like this - [[[ Tac 15 >>> MO3 >>> 473.5125 >>> Ch 1 Main Repeater (FB2) (470.5125R) >>> the world ]]] I suppose that maybe Tac 15 vs Tac 16 vs Ch 1 vs Ch 2 could be switched around at times - or maybe all radios are set up to always have Tac 15 paired with Ch 1, and always have Tac 16 paired with Ch 2. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
