I figured out some more of the tape - This is a fictional call to illustrate how the dispatch system works
All calls are recieved at Caserne Champonett (the fire station in the Champonett neighborhood in the ?8th Arrondisment (Paris precincts)) the phone call - come quick, there is a fire - at what address? - given - how much smoke and color? - given - what floor are you on? - 4th - how many floors total? - 6 - "les pompiers sont partis" (the firemen are leaving the station now) - do you have smoke in the apt? - yes - open a window etc 1:15 - the CAD screen - looks like they sent 2 pumpers and 1 ladder - F4 is bad address - F6 is green - F7 is orange - F8 is red - ??? the doctor is told there is a person trapped in a fire - the doctor says "send one doctor ambulance" - (they only have a dozen doctor ambulances in the whole FD IIRC) the black dispatcher says - my asst chief, first alarm is enroute" or something like that the radio traffic with the siren is "demande refort pour fire habitation" - request reinforcements for habitation fire other radio traffic on EMS side was 7 adults (sept) and 2 babys - CPR - or something like that - [maybe a different call] CO 2 = maybe this is a 2nd alarm - maybe operational condition 2 ---------------------------------- they have approx 90 fire stations with 120 pumpers and 100 ambulances - they must have more dispatchers and calltakers than what we see in the video -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
