South Berkshire Ambulances sometimes talk to "Central" and sometimes they talk to "County Control". I suspect that "Central" is the Great Barrington dispatch center. Actually, sometimes it seems that the South Berkshire ambulances talk to 2 different dispatchers sequentially, possibly on the same channel.
Great Barrington fire units have been heard twice going to emergencys where they were told to use "Fireground 2". Elsewhere - Tyringham FD was toned out by "Dispatch". Possibly that was Lee Dispatch. And possibly that was on 154.31. Also - Sheffield units might have been using a repeater. I am not sure what channel they were on, but I think they were fire units. (Somebody was on a repeater - I think it was Sheffield) all of this was heard via a scanner feed On Mon, Apr 6, 2015 at 12:07 PM, Peter S <[email protected]> wrote: > I think I just heard Great Barrington FD get dispatched by Great Barrington. > > Maybe the Great Barrington Dispatch center only operate weekdays 9 to > 5 - with County doing the dispatching at all other times - //??? > > On Mon, Apr 6, 2015 at 8:22 AM, Peter S <[email protected]> wrote: >> Seems to be a change in dispatch for Great Barrington >> >> I could swear that I am hearing Great Barrington FD and South >> Berkshire Amb being paged by Berkshire County Control.
