Radio info - Arlington 4th alarm
99% of radio traffic was on the Arlington FD repeater 460.60 R
483.2875 R was for fire dispatcher to fire dispatcher comms ("MetroFire")
I did catch the Winchester Fire dispatcher calling Winchester Engine 4
on 460.60 direct. Sounded like Winchester had a base station on
460.60. The base station message ended with a chirp. Winch Eng 4 did
not answer that I heard.
Boston units were told via BFd Ch 1 to use "Zone B Postion 3" when
responding to Arlington. later they were told to use "Zone B Position
4". I did hear Boston Car 11 tlking to Boston Engine 51 on 460.60
direct. Boston E51 and Car 11 also talked to each other on BFD Ch 1 as
they arrived at the fire.
Somerville Engine told his dispatcher that he was switching to "the
Arlington channel / Position 6". I assume he was referrring to 460.60
R.
I did not catch any other channels in use. (except for APD on 471.1625 R)
Some of the Somervile units were giving each other directions to the
scene on Somerville FD Channel 1 as they responded to the fire.
